Vacation Watch Program
For Members of the Constable Patrol
One of the busiest times of the year for Vacation Watches comes with the summer holidays. Vacation Watch is a service available to members of the Constable Patrol. Upon your written request, the deputies will check your home while you are away. If you want all entrances to be checked, the deputies must have access to them. Take time to review the procedure for requesting the deputies to watch your home in your absence. If you have any questions, please call the BPHA Office. If you are not a member of the Constable Patrol and would like to join, please call the BPHA Office today at 713-666-7248! To request this service:
- Complete a Vacation Watch form. All current members were mailed a form with the 2005-2006 decals and telephone stickers. Additional forms can be obtained from the BPHA Office.
- Mail the completed form to the address listed seven days before departure. Label the envelope: "ATTN: Dispatcher". DO NOT send to the attention of Constable Jack Abercia. Doing so will delay getting the information to the deputies. You can also fax the information to the fax number listed on the form. DO NOT FAX FORMS TO THE BPHA OFFICE!!!!
- In those instances when adherence to this policy is impossible, contact Janet Maxian 713-668-4645. You must talk to Janet. Do not talk to her family members or to an answering machine! Please DO NOT call the Dispatcher to request a Vacation Watch. Constable Jack Abercia urgently appeals for our cooperation in this matter. Mistakes in giving or taking of information can occur. Besides, we need the Dispatcher answering calls for help, not taking the Vacation information. If you are not a member of the Constable Patrol, check with HPD for a similar service.
DO NOT FAX FORMS TO THE BPHA OFFICE!!!!
